
Pilates for Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a condition of the spine where a curvature or multiple curvatures are present. If left unmanaged scoliosis can cause pain, breathing restrictions and tightness and muscle imbalances. Scoliosis often presents in adolescence as structural scoliosis. It can also develop as functional scoliosis, usually later in life.

Many of our instructors at Pilates J have a special interest in Pilates for scoliosis management and many of them have completed both modules 1 and 2 of the internationally renowned Scolio-Pilates® method.
